Senior Project Engineer – Halden

Introduction

Location: Halden, Oslo 
Duration: Asap – 12 months

Function

  • The Engineering and R&D Departments in G&T BG are responsible for engineering execution of the projects within the business group, and are responsible for providing and nominating Project engineers to projects
  • All projects within the G&T BG are grouped in departments or portfolios – containing similar projects based on products or for some projects type or Client.
  • Perform the assigned engineering within his/her discipline in project(s) and ensure engineering are delivered on time, on budget, with required quality and within agreed specifications and requirements. Assigned Engineering tasks could be for Project Execution, support to tender, R&D, discipline and/or tasks related to standardization or organizational support.
  • The project engineer might also be assigned tasks as key user for user tools, component responsibility, etc. 
  • The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering performed within his/her discipline.
  • Have first hand knowledge on technical scope of work and have oversite of the cost estimates from tender phase, for delivery of the best technical solution for the project. 
  • Using Company PLM system tool (TeamCenter) according to internal guidelines.
  • Follow Company internal standards, relevant contract specific standards, Master Document Register, Change Management system and other key elements of the project model – within the frame of the contract 
  • Collaborate within and across the Engineering teams and disciplines
  • Contribute to information sharing between the project and other projects, both during the engineering, production and installation phase (E.g. Lessons Learned).
  • Support and contribute to improvements / changes within the organization
  • Support system and competence development as well as training within the Business group including all units
  • Be a QHSE role model & report cases/incidents in Synergi Life tool.
  • Tender: Support the tender group with special focus on technical requirements/solutions, MDR proposal, IDC and risk evaluation
  • Project Execution – Engineering:
    • Ensure that assigned engineering is delivered according to MDR, contract and internal guidelines
    • Attend Pre Production Meetings (PPM), process start-up meetings both internal & external
    • Attend PVU meeting if required.
    • Report Engineering status to the Lead Engineer on regular basis (e.g. Weekly enigineering meetings or other forums) 
  • Project close-out phase
    • As built documentation
    • Contribute and give input on lessons learned to the Project throughout and after project is finished
  • Leadership:
    • Facilitate DIC/IDC
    • Take ownership of tasks and give guidance and clear feedback to own 
  • Lead/discipline: Be open and share relevant information within the project team

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Engineer within your specialist discipline.
  • Strong understanding of project engineering principles and practices. 
  • Familiarity with PLM systems, preferably TeamCenter.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate across disciplines.
