Function

We are looking for a skilled automation engineer to work in a large oil & gas FEED project consisting of new platform design, brownfield modification work and interface to several contractual interfaces. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within engineering of Automation systems, working with the SAS system design.

Tasks:

  • Automation system design, including philosophies, topologies, I/O budget, etc for pre-FEED, FEED and EPC.
  • System Design activities for Safety and Automation System as appointed by automation team lead
  • Specification of global SAS system design through modification work, new system design and contractual interfaces
  • Arrange and lead internal meetings, client meetings, workshops and reviews
  • Multidiscipline collaboration
  • Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers 
  • Follow-up and participation in Hardware and Software design solutions
  • Interface to other disciplines, contractors, suppliers and client 
  • Offshore survey may be required

Requirements

  • Bachelor or higher
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects
  • Minimum 6 years’ Experience from automation and SAS system design, incl SAS/automation network solutions.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC
  • Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English – Both orally and in writing
  • Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team
  • Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
  • Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
  • Valid FSE-course
  • Valid Ex-course
