Product Engineer Electronics – Kongsberg

Function

  • In Controls & Automation product line at the company, we are developing the technology platforms for the electrification of Subsea Control Systems and enabling of renewable energy sources like offshore wind, hydrogen, and wave.
  • Electronics product team is working with product management of a wide range of product and system technologies including SEM(Subsea Electronic Modules), TEM(Topside Electronic Modules), Motor drives, Battery modules, power supplies, functional safety products, Downhole interface, communication and networking.
  • These technologies are utilized in the different control system applications.
  • In Controls & Automation you will be involved in design, development, qualification, system integration, production, and support of products throughout commissioning and introduction to field operation.
  • The product management environment is multidisciplinary with HW, SW, system, test, mechatronics, and production engineering.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in electronics, automation, cybernetics, or similar engineering.
  • Capable of structural approach to solve complex problems.
  • Open-minded, speak professional English, and adaptable for working.
  • in multicultural environment.
  • Continuously raising standards, innovative and solution oriented.
  • Having interest in electronics is an additional advantage.
  • You have competence within several of the areas below:
    • Establishment of product structures and maintenance of product documentation for manufacturing and change management.
    • Product support in manufacturing, supply chain, projects and field operation.
    • Management of product cost and support to product tendering processes.
    • Monitoring of product quality and execution of improvement projects to improve product quality.
    • Review of customer specifications to evaluate functional compliance of products.
