Function

As an Experienced Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, and contributing to continuous improvement within the clinical environment. You will be expected to demonstrate clinical expertise, deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, and support patient outcomes through tailored treatment plans. The role requires you to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high standards of documentation and reporting.

Patient Assessment and Treatment:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and functional movement analyses.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at achieving patient-specific goals, such as pain reduction, improved mobility, and enhanced quality of life.
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, education, and the use of modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, and heat/cold therapy.

Collaborative Care:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and execute integrated treatment plans.
  • Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and patient progress reviews with other clinicians.
  • Act as a point of contact for referrals and ensure seamless communication with external healthcare providers, such as family doctors, specialists, and insurance adjusters, as needed.

Patient Education and Support:

  • Educate patients on injury prevention, post-treatment care, and self-management strategies to promote independence and long-term wellness.
  • Provide resources and support materials to facilitate patient understanding and engagement in their recovery journey.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Prepare necessary reports for insurance claims, medical referrals, and employer requests, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

Clinical Development and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with emerging research, techniques, and best practices in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
  • Participate in professional development activities, including workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinic services, patient care processes, and treatment protocols

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection prevention and control measures.
  • Ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • A degree in Physiotherapy or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of experience as a practicing physiotherapist.
  • Proven expertise in conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering physiotherapy interventions.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical rehabilitation techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as ultrasound and TENS.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current professional registration with a recognized physiotherapy board (if applicable).
  • Commitment to continuing education and clinical development
