Fabrication Lead – St. John's, NL

Introduction

Dovre is currently identifying candidates for a potential upcoming opportunity for a Fabrication Lead with a major energy client in Newfoundland & Labrador.

Function

  • 10+ years in the direct management of complex steel fabrication components.
  • Understanding of the codes, standards, and recommended practices relevant to marine-related construction activities in Canada.
  • Detailed understanding of fabrication methods, including cutting, welding, testing, coating, etc.
  • Ability to accurately assess the capabilities and capacities of various suppliers, their facilities, and their proposed methods.
  • Ability to create effective technical documents, particularly scopes of work and specifications, in support of contracting with fabricators.
  • Extensive on-site experience in managing and supervising major fabrication works.
  • Exceptional commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental principles and demonstrated leadership in ensuring they are upheld.
  • Ability to manage changes during the fabrication of major components in a safe, technically acceptable, and commercially responsible manner.
  • Effective interfacing between PMT and fabricators.
  • Registration/Membership of an appropriate Professional Association or Technical Designation should be provided.
