EIT Field Engineer – Night Shift – Stavanger
Introduction
Location: Stavanger
Duration: 5 months with possibility of extension; 1st of August – 31st of December
Number of openings: 3
Function
- Support the EIT construction team by solving technical issues during construction and installation site work.
- Advise EIT construction team on the holds and issues faced at site.
- Prepare engineering solution statement in collaboration with engineering and job setting team.
- Making sure the construction work for EIT disciplines is without issues and if there is any, follow up with construction lead for EIT, Forman’s and EIT engineering/job setting team.
- Ensure and verify that EIT installations adhere with company’s safety standards and job cards.
- Work closely with EIT construction team for seamless execution of technical work.
- Technical interface to own discipline engineers and field engineers, construction lead for EIT and EIT personnel and other disciplines.
- Effectively collaborate with other construction and Field Engineering team members for problem solving.
- Use and interface with systems like IFS, NAVISWORK, PIMS and Engineering registers.
- Be proactive in clarifying any doubt or requesting any missing information
- Be the contact point between construction and engineering
- Inform Line manager as soon as possible of any concerns or delays.
Requirements
- Technical High School/College diploma/degree and minimum 05-08 years of EIT Field Engineering Experience from Norwegian offshore oil and gas construction projects.
- Personal skills and experience may compensate for some lack of formal education.
- Experience of using the tools like IFS, MIPS and NAVISWORK.
- Experience from coordinating as Forman, solving field related issues, MC and Commissioning is highly valued.
- Experience of handling red line mark up for as built drawings.
- Experience and understanding to prioritize work according to electrical construction plan.
- Experience from working Norwegian oil and gas projects and with reference to standards of NORSOK E-001, IEC61892, IECEx 60079.
- Excellent communication skills, proactive, and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders for effective execution of work.
