Function

General Description of the role:
The Commissioning System Lead – SAS is responsible for providing direction, guidance and supervision during preparation and execution of Completion and Commissioning activities related to the delivery and integration of the Power from Shore project and is considered the overall responsible for all Safety Automation Systems.

Roles, Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Lead role for ensuring completions and commissioning’s requirements of all Company’s projects is carried out safely, and ensure they meet all Company’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
  • Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to Project Completion Strategy.
  • Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Commissioning SAS Team and ensure that an important level of focus is maintained on health, safety and the environment to achieve Company’s expectations.
  • Provision of commissioning support to project as required including ensure sufficient staffing according to project needs.
  • When required act as the site Commissioning Authority during the commissioning phases.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project forecasts, schedules, costs estimate associated with the commissioning scope for all relevant SAS Systems.
  • Contribute and advice related to SAS input to overall Completion strategy and planning.
  • Manage contractors and other resources providing services and supplying materials Software or equipment for SAS.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the SAS Commissioning Team, coordinating the appropriate Commissioning discipline resources with the skills to:
    – Witness contractor/supplier tests as necessary (FAT/SAT).
    – Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
    – Implement the commissioning scope.
    – Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
  • As required; set up and co-ordinate commissioning reviews, covering all disciplines, to meet Company’s expectations.
  • Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews when necessary.
  • 1:1 conversation with team memebers on regular basis.

Requirements

Qualification requirements:
Education

  • BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • Record of accomplishment of engineering and commissioning competency and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills.
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of professionals.
  • Familiarity with planning tools, works management systems and document management systems.
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
