Commercial Lead – St. John's, NL
Introduction
Dovre is currently identifying candidates for a potential upcoming opportunity for a Commercial Lead with a major energy client in Newfoundland & Labrador.
Function
- 10+ years of experience in managing contracts related to major capital infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing various complex service and supply contracts covering consulting, engineering, procurement agencies, construction companies, and fabricators.
- Extensive knowledge to support the generation and assessment of terms and conditions related to major contracts.
- Ability to negotiate contracts effectively on behalf of the PMT.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with financial and legal teams within large organizations.
- Ability to support PMT in the generation of accurate progress reporting.
- Knowledge of Risk Management.
- Knowledge of vessel charter arrangements and BIMCO delivery terms is an asset.
- Understanding of Risk Mitigation in commercial and contractual contexts.
- Understanding of Cost Control processes and ability to lead a cost control team.
- Knowledge of IFPS and PSAS to support financial teams is an asset.
- Develop data-driven commercial insights using Power BI, advanced analytics, and AI-supported modeling.
- Build scenario-based economic models integrating financial, operational, and market data.
- Registration/Membership in a relevant professional association should be provided.
