Function
Your Mission:
You’ll lead our client’s business development strategy, focusing on generating awareness and building a strong sales pipeline across Atlantic Canada. From identifying opportunities to executing major proposals, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing they’re growth — particularly in their fast-emerging Additive Manufacturing division.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Sales Leadership
o Develop and execute market-specific strategies across industries like energy, marine, mining, and utilities.
o Expand our client’s presence into new regions, especially Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and PEI.
Customer & Market Engagement
o Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers in technical sectors.
o Promote our client’s advanced manufacturing and automation capabilities through trade shows, digital channels, and in-person meetings.
Opportunity Management
o Research and qualify leads, manage CRM data, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
o Lead the response process for tenders and bids, collaborating closely with technical teams.
Sales Operations
o Track KPIs including weekly client visits and monthly lead generation targets.
o Organize and lead internal sales strategy meetings and maintain performance dashboards.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in business development roles within technical or engineering industries.
- Strong understanding of complex B2B sales, especially in emerging tech or industrial environments.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and client engagement skills.
- Proven ability to operate with a high degree of initiative, autonomy, and accountability.
- Tech-savvy with tools like CRM platforms, MS PowerPoint, and digital marketing.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel throughout Atlantic Canada and internationally as needed.
