Function

We are looking for a skilled automation engineer to work in a large oil & gas FEED project consisting of new platform design, brownfield modification work and interface to several contractual interfaces. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within engineering of Automation systems, working with the PDCS system design.  

Tasks include:

  • System Design activities for Automation interface to electrical equipment as appointed by automation group lead
  • Designing solutions according to Client requirements ensuring global design solutions across contractual interfaces
  • Design of automation interface to Electrical equipment packages in a FEED phase
  • Follow up vendors and vendor technical documentation, including planning of package engineering activities
  • Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress of the work is identified and
  • communicated to the project
  • Interface to other disciplines, suppliers and client
  • Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers
  • Offshore survey may be required

Requirements

Required Education:

  • Bachelor or higher

Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience from automation engineering in the projects  
  • Minimum 6 years’ Experience from automation design for electrical interfaces, incl knowledge of IEC61850. 
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC

  • Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English – Both orally and in writing
  • Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team 
  • Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements 
  • Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others

Required Certificates:

  • FSE-course, valid through the engagement
  • Ex-course, valid through the engagement
