Function

We are looking for a skilled automation engineer to work in a large oil & gas C-study for an FPSO. The project consists of new Topside and Hull-systems design, with a high focus on global design solutions acrosse several contractual interfaces. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within earl-phase conceptual engineering of SAS and other Automation systems.

Tasks include:

  • System Design, interface and follow up of Safety and Automation System activities as appointed by automation discipline lead.
    Specification of philosophies for Global SAS and automation design through topside SAS, Hull, Subsea and other large contrctual interfaces.  
  • Input to, and review of, technical studies to be performed by vendors
  • Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers
  • Interface to other disciplines, contractors, suppliers and client 

Requirements

Required Education:

  • Bachelor or higher

Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects  
    Minimum 8 years’ Experience from automation and SAS system design, incl SAS/automation network solutions. 
  • Documented experience for follow-up of large multidiscipline packages
    Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English – Both orally and in writing
  • Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment 
    Ability to work independently as well as in team 
    Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements 
    Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others

Required Certificates:

  • FSE-course, valid through the engagement
  • Ex-course, valid through the engagement
