Advanced Project Completion Engineer – Oslo
Introduction
Location: Oslo
Duration: 01/07/2025 – 01/08/2027
Function
- Lead and coordinate commissioning activities within your discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process) to ensure safe and efficient startup of facilities and systems.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists according to project requirements, standards, and regulations.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with HSE requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, construction teams, operations personnel, and other discipline leads to ensure integrated and coordinated startup.
- Monitor and report progress and identify and resolve any technical issues during the commissioning phase.
- Responsible for performing and leading system testing, functional testing, and performance testing.
- Document and verify test results to ensure all systems operate according to specifications before handover to operations.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to operations personnel
- Provide input to Completion Execution planning
- Develop Commissioning procedures for the Discipline and input to multi discipline procedures
- Project Commissioning status reports incl. Hanging Gardens Schedule
- Endorse quality of content within the Completion Tool PIMS
- Endorse and verify Construction/MC based upon the RFCC process as defined by the Completion Philosophy
- Document Completion Handover (RFOC`s) to Operations
Requirements
Education
- BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- MSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
Essential experience and job requirements
- Experience from NORSOK projects.
- System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
- Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage
- Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
