Function

  • Follow-up of complex procurement packages
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies with a strong emphasis on cost reduction and value creation.
  • onduct market screening and maintain excellent market knowledge to identify cost-effective suppliers and solutions.
  • Prepare inquiry documents for major equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering.
  • Perform commercial evaluations of quotations.
  • Issue purchase orders and contracts
  • Monitor and ensure delivery within the agreed timeframe, cost, and quality.
  • Manage professional variation handling.
  • Handle risks, deviations, and invoice processing.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Abel’s guidelines, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Continuously work on improvements to reduce internal and external risks and costs, enhance delivery quality, and strengthen collaboration.

Requirements

Qualifications and Personal Attributes:

  • You are commercially aware.
  • You are professional and an independent team player.
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • You are flexible and willing to adapt to changes.
  • You engage positively with others and demonstrate a high degree of collaboration skills.
  • You work in a structured and efficient manner, always in accordance with applicable guidelines.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.
  • A high degree of data discipline is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Relevant subjects: Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and similar
     

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience within supply chain management
