Registered Massage Therapist – St. John's, NL

We’re working with a well-established, multidisciplinary health clinic in St. John’s, Newfoundland, that is looking to welcome a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to their growing team.

This collaborative clinic focuses on personalized, client-centered care and operates with a strong emphasis on wellness, communication, and a positive, supportive work environment. The role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, professional development, and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Treatment

• Conduct client assessments to determine appropriate massage therapy techniques and treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based massage therapy interventions focused on pain relief, stress reduction, mobility, and rehabilitation.
• Use a range of therapeutic techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and relaxation massage based on client needs.

Collaborative Care

• Work alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals as part of an integrated care team.
• Participate in team discussions regarding client progress and wellness planning.
• Refer clients to appropriate professionals when outside the scope of massage therapy.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes and treatment records.
• Prepare documentation required for insurance claims and client files in accordance with privacy regulations.

Client Education and Support

• Provide clients with post-treatment care advice and strategies for long-term wellness.
• Promote awareness of injury prevention and relaxation techniques.

Professional Development

• Stay up to date with massage therapy best practices, emerging techniques, and industry standards.
• Participate in relevant continuing education, workshops, and association requirements.
